This book is about Christianity as a path to spiritual awakening and inner peace—a path that is entirely compatible with science and the best of contemporary culture. It is about how honest understanding of the tradition and of ourselves can help us grow from an old religious worldview that does not work anymore into one that does.

John Speers

I am retired after a career in computer programming. I have a B.A. degree in psychology from SUNY New Paltz and an M.Div. degree from Drew University Theology School. I have been engaged with issues of spiritual growth and understanding, especially in a Christian context, for most of my life. You can find a more extensive biography as an appendix of Honest to God.
